Early Christmas Pictures

Early Christmas in Flagstaff

We took a trip up to flagstaff this weekend to celebrate an early Christmas with my side of the family. It was a blast. My sister and her husband had told us they weren't going to be able to make it, so we were really bummed. Then they showed up at the house unexpectedly. We were all so happy.
Saturday night everyone came over or the dinner and Christmas eve celebration. Our tradition is to have Mexican food instead of the traditional turkey dinner. It was amazing. My mom made delicous homemade tamales, chimichangas and salsa. My aunt and uncle and their families brought other dishes to go along with it and they were great as well. I am pretty sure I ate more food than I've ever eaten in one sitting. For desert, mom made her fabulous peanut butter pie. I could eat a whole pie by myself, that's how good they are. We opened presents and just hung out for the rest of the night. Jason had so much fun helping to hand out the presents. He got so many cool things. The one thing he really wanted was a trash truck. He did get one and didn't stop playing with it for the rest of the night. I don't know what it is, but tht kid is addicted to trash trucks.
Adam and I had a great time with the family as well. We had the most fun playing with Jason and all his new toys. Just watching the excitement in his eyes was the best Christmas gift we could ever have.

Singing in the rain.…

Jason and I absolutely LOVE the rain. Today we broke out his umbrella and ran through all the puddles and sang the song "Singing in the rain" all the way down the street and back. He was watching for daddy to come home so he could sing an dance in the rain too! Lol!!! It was one of the greatest times to just relax and think about the things that are truely important. For us, it's family. Our little family is the best! We can have the greatest times no matter what. All we need each other. Time or some hot cocoa and stories inside where it's warm!!

How time flies........

I haven't gotten a chance to post in a while, so here is an update. We are busy!! Jason is huge, as you can see. He is talking so well. He can say anything now. Today he saw one of the army cups on the nightstand, that my mom got me from Colorado. He immediately said "mommy, army". I couldn't believe he actually recognized the symbol. His new favorite thing to say is "mommy, watch this!!". I will have to write a little more later, but I had a minute at work and decided to post.

Accumulation...

I'm not sure exactly how, but we have magically accumulated a massive amount if junk. Lol. I've been going through our stuff this past week and can't believe how much stuff we have. So far, I have gathered 3 large trash bags of stuff that we don't use or need. It just keeps coming... I'm glad to clean out some of our junk though. It feels good to get reorganized and declutter our lives. It is definitely something I need to do more often.
Haloween!!!! Jason is dressing as Nemo!!! He has been wearing his costume on and off all week. It is adorable. We are going to be heading over to Adam's brother and sister in laws house for a little get together and some trick or treating. I will take lots of pics and be sure to post them.

Daddy's little Boy

Well, time just keeps going, as it usually does. We have been pretty busy since my last post. It has been crazy with Jason's Birthday, Work, Trips to Flagstaff and just life. Jason is still getting so big.

For his birthday, we gave him his big boy race car bed, which he absolutely loves. We were really worried at first about him being able to get out of bed on his own in the middle of the night. Of course we put the gates up and closed the door, but he always manages to figure out how to do, or undo, EVERYTHING. Thankfully, he hasn't even tried to get out of his room. He jumps in the bed every night and falls right to sleep. I have to give Adam all the credit for this one. He was the one who trained Jason to sleep in his own bed, all by himself. If it were all up to me, I think I'd still be in there every night, just so he wasn't so upset and actually slept.

Jason has always been a huge Mama's boy, and still is, But more recently, he has become a HUGE Daddy's boy. I love it. Jason has always loved Daddy too, but if you gave him a choice before to go with mommy or Daddy, he'd choose Mommy. Now it has totally switched. I come home from work in the morning and if he's still asleep, he will wake up and yell for daddy. It is the cutest thing. He is like a mini Adam. He always tells me that he is going to go work now, and he'll go into Adam's office, sit at the computer and type on the keyboard. He just wants to be like his daddy.

The babysitter's house is going great. He likes to go over there and play with the kids. It's amazing how much he talks now. He will either repeat everything that you say, or will try to talk sentences on his own. He picks up the phone and has a whole conversation with nobody on it.

I am so blessed to have such a great family. These two boys are my world.

Time goes by way too fast

I can't believe how fast time flies. Jason is going to be 2 on Saturday and it seems like just yesterday that we were bringing him home from the hospital. I want to cry when I think about it.
We had a little party for him up in Flagstaff last weekend. He had such a great time with all his cousins and the family. He got some absolutely adorable clothes and some great toys. He was so happy. Now for his real birthday on Saturday, we are going to put together his "big boy bed" and then let him see it for the first time at naptime. He probably won't be able to sleep, he'll be so excited. I think Adam and I are going more excited about his expression. He is going to be so excited. Well, I will post pics of the big birthday on Saturday. Here are some for now though.

SuMmEr TiMe!!!!!!

Summer has so far been pretty fun. We finally found the greatest floaties for Jason and now all he wants to do is swim. He is getting so big. I can't believe how fast the time goes by. He is almost 2 years old. He has been talking so much. It just seems like he can tell us exactly what he wants now and he understands what we are saying. It is so awesome!! Some days are crazy, but I just like to cherish every moment that I have with him. I know it won't be like this for long.
Adam went to Argentina for a week and had a blast. We missed him a lot, but we had some great mommy, Jason time. I am so glad that Adam got the chance to go somewhere so cool. I hope to be able to go somewhere like that one day. He brought Jason some books from Buenos Aires and I got this huge Tin full of these chocolate covered cookies with caramel in the middle. They are so good.
This weekend is Fathers day!!! I think that we are going to do something with just our little family. I'm not sure yet, but I hope that My parents come down to visit too, because I think that would be such a great time. I know that Jason really misses them a lot. Not to mention, that I really miss seeing them all the time. I am just going to cross my fingers that they come to visit on Saturday and can stay the night. That would be great. I would love to just kick back and relax with them for a couple days.
I hope to post lots of pictures from this weekend. I can't wait for a relaxing weekend with our little family!! :)

Decisions......

We recently found out that the woman who has been watching Jason for about a year now, is moving to CA. I am so sad that we will be losing her. She was like another grandma to him. He loves her so much and I just hate to have to even think about leaving him with someone else. The time will come for us to find a new babysitter. :(. I have been having such a difficult time with it. I just don't think that anyone can live up to the standards in my head because they are not actually her. I did however find a woman who has an in home daycare, lives in our neighborhood and has good rates. I met with her today and thought she could possibly work for us. I think I am just that type of parent who won't just leave my kid with anyone. We are doing our research on her and going to hopefully be using her soon. I just really don't want her to move at all. We definately love her and want her to be happy though. I just have to stay positive and pray that we find someone else who is almost as good as she is.

Mother's Day!!!

I had the greatest Mother's Day!! It was so much fun hanging out with Jason and Adam!! They really made me feel like a special Mother. I couldn't ask for a more wonderful son and boyfriend! They have made my life so wonderful. I am truely blessed to have them in my life. My mom and dad came down from Flagstaff and spent the day with us. We went to the pool, and to my grandma's house to wish her a happy mothers day. It was a great weekend full of unforgetable memories.

Potty training.... Maybe???

He hasn't actually gone in the potty yet, but he is starting to try. He came and got me yesterday and said "pee pee, pee pee" so we went into the bathroom to try sitting on the toilet. No luck! He just sat there and drank water for a good 10 minutes.

At the mall when nothing is open

This morning we went to San Tan mall at about 9:30am. We found that the stores don't open till 11am. So, we decided to let Jason play on the kid playground there anyway since we were killing time. It was so much better than it is during regular hours.

A day at the Zoo

Last weekend my parents came into town on Saturday and we took a trip to the zoo. Jason had so much fun with his Nana and Tata. He absolutely loves animals. I never would have thought the zoo could be so much fun as an adult. Adam and I love to experience all the new stuff with him. Just to see how excited he is with everything is the best thing in the world. I look at these picture and just see a big boy now. He has grown so fast. Time flies and it seems like he is growing by the minute. He is walking and running and he has started talking so much now. He just seems to get it now. He understands what we tell him and when we say not to do something, he is generally pretty good at not doing it anymore. There are the occasional times when he just does it anyways, but for the most part he is really good. He has always had a HUGE thing for cars and trucks, but I had just recently put in the Cars DVD in the car when we went out one day, and he didn't even want to get out of the car because he was so into the movie. He carries around a little Lightening Mcqueen car everywhere. He calls him "Keen". It is the cutest. He gives him hugs and kisses and everything too. I can't wait till his 18 month check up to see how much he's grown. It seems like he has just sprouted up in the past few months. Life as a parent is truely the best thing in the whole world.

Jason fell asleep before we were done and Daddy and Tata took turns cuddling with him.

Mommy's little helper

Jason loves to vaccuum!! Today he got a hold of the dust buster and vaccuumed the tile down stairs. When he was done, he came and said all done and clapped his hands. It was the cutest thing.

2009 Here We Come!!!

Well I haven't been on here to update our blog for a while, so i thought I would let everyone know how our Christmas and New Years went.
Christmas was great. Jason got totally spoiled, Which we knew was going to happen. He got so many new toys and clothes. Santa got him a powerwheels 4 wheeler, that he isn't too sure how to work yet. He got a ride and play pony, a buggy car and a couple of lawn mowers. I can't name all the things he got or I'd be here all night. He is having a blast.
New years was fun. We just hung out at home with Jason and actually went to bed early. It is lame I know, but it was nice for us to get a great night's sleep.
Jason is still going to his his Cousin's house the day after I work, so that I can get some sleep. Carrie actually started her Preschool, so When Jason is over there hanging out with his Amie he gets to join in on the little activities that they do. He will listen to storytime and sing songs and just all the little stuff. Some of the days there is a group of 2 year olds, so he participates with them and is doing really well. I've brought home a few projects that he has done with them and they are so great.
Adam is extremely busy with Phillip Morris this year. He has been working his butt off every day. They are doing all kinds of great stuff. Besides him being in the hood, I think he really enjoys it. He and Jason have bonded even closer since I started working because Adam will have to do the whole night time routine with him. Jason is so lucky to have such a wonderful loving father. Adam has really been amazing and heloing me with a lot of things that I can't do all the time because of work and stuff. Like the never ending laundry pile. I swear it grows by the minute. I never knew that the 3 of us could use so many clothes. Thank goodness that Adam helps me out with it. I would probably be burried in the pile of laundry if it wasn't for him.
I am still working at Banner Gateway Medical Center on the Peds unit and I absolutely love it. I really enjoy all people I work with and all the great patients that I take care of. I definately know that this is my passion in life. Nursing has always been what I really like to do and want to do in the future and this place has made even ore sure of it.
Adam and I are trying to get out a little and do some fun stuff, so we went with a friend of mine and her boyfriend to a suns game last week and it was a blast. It was nice to have a little us time.
I will definately have some good pictures up soon, so you all can see how bug Jason is getting.
