Early Christmas Pictures

Early Christmas in Flagstaff

We took a trip up to flagstaff this weekend to celebrate an early Christmas with my side of the family. It was a blast. My sister and her husband had told us they weren't going to be able to make it, so we were really bummed. Then they showed up at the house unexpectedly. We were all so happy.
Saturday night everyone came over or the dinner and Christmas eve celebration. Our tradition is to have Mexican food instead of the traditional turkey dinner. It was amazing. My mom made delicous homemade tamales, chimichangas and salsa. My aunt and uncle and their families brought other dishes to go along with it and they were great as well. I am pretty sure I ate more food than I've ever eaten in one sitting. For desert, mom made her fabulous peanut butter pie. I could eat a whole pie by myself, that's how good they are. We opened presents and just hung out for the rest of the night. Jason had so much fun helping to hand out the presents. He got so many cool things. The one thing he really wanted was a trash truck. He did get one and didn't stop playing with it for the rest of the night. I don't know what it is, but tht kid is addicted to trash trucks.
Adam and I had a great time with the family as well. We had the most fun playing with Jason and all his new toys. Just watching the excitement in his eyes was the best Christmas gift we could ever have.

Singing in the rain.…

Jason and I absolutely LOVE the rain. Today we broke out his umbrella and ran through all the puddles and sang the song "Singing in the rain" all the way down the street and back. He was watching for daddy to come home so he could sing an dance in the rain too! Lol!!! It was one of the greatest times to just relax and think about the things that are truely important. For us, it's family. Our little family is the best! We can have the greatest times no matter what. All we need each other. Time or some hot cocoa and stories inside where it's warm!!

How time flies........

I haven't gotten a chance to post in a while, so here is an update. We are busy!! Jason is huge, as you can see. He is talking so well. He can say anything now. Today he saw one of the army cups on the nightstand, that my mom got me from Colorado. He immediately said "mommy, army". I couldn't believe he actually recognized the symbol. His new favorite thing to say is "mommy, watch this!!". I will have to write a little more later, but I had a minute at work and decided to post.

Accumulation...

I'm not sure exactly how, but we have magically accumulated a massive amount if junk. Lol. I've been going through our stuff this past week and can't believe how much stuff we have. So far, I have gathered 3 large trash bags of stuff that we don't use or need. It just keeps coming... I'm glad to clean out some of our junk though. It feels good to get reorganized and declutter our lives. It is definitely something I need to do more often.
Haloween!!!! Jason is dressing as Nemo!!! He has been wearing his costume on and off all week. It is adorable. We are going to be heading over to Adam's brother and sister in laws house for a little get together and some trick or treating. I will take lots of pics and be sure to post them.

Daddy's little Boy

Well, time just keeps going, as it usually does. We have been pretty busy since my last post. It has been crazy with Jason's Birthday, Work, Trips to Flagstaff and just life. Jason is still getting so big.

For his birthday, we gave him his big boy race car bed, which he absolutely loves. We were really worried at first about him being able to get out of bed on his own in the middle of the night. Of course we put the gates up and closed the door, but he always manages to figure out how to do, or undo, EVERYTHING. Thankfully, he hasn't even tried to get out of his room. He jumps in the bed every night and falls right to sleep. I have to give Adam all the credit for this one. He was the one who trained Jason to sleep in his own bed, all by himself. If it were all up to me, I think I'd still be in there every night, just so he wasn't so upset and actually slept.

Jason has always been a huge Mama's boy, and still is, But more recently, he has become a HUGE Daddy's boy. I love it. Jason has always loved Daddy too, but if you gave him a choice before to go with mommy or Daddy, he'd choose Mommy. Now it has totally switched. I come home from work in the morning and if he's still asleep, he will wake up and yell for daddy. It is the cutest thing. He is like a mini Adam. He always tells me that he is going to go work now, and he'll go into Adam's office, sit at the computer and type on the keyboard. He just wants to be like his daddy.

The babysitter's house is going great. He likes to go over there and play with the kids. It's amazing how much he talks now. He will either repeat everything that you say, or will try to talk sentences on his own. He picks up the phone and has a whole conversation with nobody on it.

I am so blessed to have such a great family. These two boys are my world.
